Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
What a year its been for our new family, it's been full of joy and many blessings.
Here is a little run down on the past year in our family.
Kristian and I were married on March 19, 2010. We were granted Full custody in the fall of the kids. We moved from a small basement apartment in Pleasant Grove to a house in Lehi. The kids spent most of the summer with their Mom and Grandparents in Colorado. We went out to visit them. We missed them dearly but it was nice to have a little time to ourself. Kristian is working for a company in Salt Lake called Quality Appliances. He has started to do heating and air as well. He is super busy! When not at work he loves to be home with us, we like to take walks, go to the movie, the park and just be together as a family. As for me its been a year of changes! I have gone from me me me single life style to everyone else in my family 1st. Some days are hard, but over all I would not change a minute of it! I am staying busy busing kids around, doing laundry, cooking dinner, and much more. I recently quit my job to enjoy being home with the kids. In fact this week well be my 1st week home! I am super excited and nervous at the same time! I have always worked and enjoyed working. Dippidee has been such a blessing in my life and I am sad to leave all my friends. I am excited for my new journey.
*Patrick turned 10 this year and enjoying 4th grade! He is getting SO tall and smart! He had all "A's" on his report card and is truly the man of the house when Kristian is gone. He is willing to help with the "boy" chores- you know mowing the lawn, taking out the trash etc. He started wrestling in the fall and is loving every minute of it! He took 4th in his 1st tournament 2 weeks ago. He loves to read, hang out with friends, chase girls, and pretty much any sport. He is truly a blessing in our home.
*Emily turned 8 this year and was baptized! It was such a special day for her and our family. She is such a beautiful young lady. She does have a little sassy side but I would't trade that. She is in 3rd grade and also had a fabulous report card! She is very social, loves hanging out with her cousins, and friends. She loves her dance class which is jazz and hip hop and seems to always be humming a little tune. She is also my drawer, I should say my sketcher, its either cakes or clothes.
*Caley is 6 and my smart 1st grader. Caley is also my helper in the family. She is always the one who is offering help with dinner, cleaning or whatever else needs to be done. She is super loving. She is always expressing how much she loves everyone and full of hugs! If I am having a bad day I feel like a million bucks within minutes of being with Caley. She loves 1st grade, sometimes I feel like Mrs. Skillicorn knows more than I do. She is loving to learning to read, she loves playing school with her cousins, going to ballet and tap class and making little cards and notes for everyone she knows. She too had remarkable grades and comments from her teacher.
*Harold will be 5 in about 3 weeks. All I can say is WOW! This kids seriously grew about 3 inches in the summer when he was with this Grandparents. He stands about 4 inches taller than everyone in his preschool class. He is attending Head Start Preschool and he loves every moment of it! He is learning so much. He is very friendly and loves to play with other kids. He is our family clown, always cracking a joke or making us laugh with his funny face expressions or comments he makes. He wants to do everything the other kids do, this is a little hard because he is younger but he handles it well. He loves super hero's, riding bikes, playing outside, and is my snuggle buddy on the couch. Believe it or not but Cake Boss is one of his favorite shows.
This time of year makes me sit back and think of all the amazing people that have touched my life in so many ways. Thank you all so much! I hope that this year during the hustle and bustle of Christmas we can take a minute and enjoy our loved ones and remember the birth of our Lord and Savior. May God bless us in the new year to come with joy and happiness!
